☀️ SCCSD Summer Feeding Program 🍎🥛

South Conway County School District is proud to once again provide free meals for children ages birth–18 this summer at Morrilton High School Cafeteria!

📅 June 1 – July 23
🗓 Monday–Thursday (No meals on Fridays)
🍳 Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
🥪 Lunch: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon

This program is an important way we continue to Love, Serve, and Care for People by making sure our children have access to nutritious meals all summer long.

No registration required—just come and eat!

Dr. Aida Kuettle, South Conway County School District’s Community Outreach and ESOL Coordinator, has earned her Ph.D. in Change Leadership with a concentration in K–12 Education Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas.

This achievement reflects her dedication to growth, learning, and leadership—not only for herself, but for the children, families, and staff she serves every day. Dr. Kuettle’s work continues to make a meaningful difference in our district and community.

MIS 6th grade Science students studying skin, muscle, and bone tissue under microscopes. #loveservecare4people

The latest “buzz” is a recent visit from  UACCM County Extension Agents to MIS GT classes for a 2-day STEM study of honey bees. Mrs. Alicia Hugen and Mrs. Shannon Autrey taught the GT students about the different types of bees, how honey is made, and the intricate and amazing design of nature’s busy bees! They viewed images of bees and a replica of a hive along with real honey comb from Mrs. Autrey, who has a working beehive. Mrs. Hugen and Mrs. Autrey also brought different types of honey with fruit and graham crackers for taste testing. The students were intrigued and enjoyed the information and treats! This was the 3rd STEM project led by Mrs. Hugen. The previous studies were of renewable energy sources. Mrs. Pruitt and the students are grateful for the resources provided by our county extension agents! #loveservecare4people

🏀 5v5 Basketball Tournament – Support Our FBLA Students! 🏀

The Morrilton High School FBLA is hosting a 5v5 Basketball Tournament on May 9th at 10:45 AM in the Morrilton Junior High Gym—and we’d love for you to be a part of it!

This tournament is more than just competition—it’s an opportunity to invest in our students. Proceeds will help send five MHS FBLA members to the FBLA National Leadership Conference, where they will represent our school and community on a national stage.
