After continued assessment of road conditions across our district, we have determined that roads outside the city of Morrilton remain packed with ice. While some melting is expected this afternoon, it will not be sufficient to safely improve conditions, particularly on secondary roads and bus routes.
As a result, the South Conway County School District will not have school tomorrow, Thursday, January 29.
This decision is made with one priority in mind: maximizing the safety of our scholars, families, and staff. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these winter weather conditions.
Please stay safe and take care.

With school closed due to winter weather, we encourage you to take advantage of today and tomorrow to read, catch up on assignments, and stay engaged in your learning.
Use this time wiselyāwhether that means completing work, getting ahead, or strengthening positive learning habits. Learning continues, even when we are not in the classroom.
Most importantly, have fun, but be safe. Take care of yourself, look out for others, and make smart choices during these winter conditions.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

MIS GT students are completing their second research projects and presenting amazing reports as they share their creative products of learning! The first projects were individual and student choice. Now they are working with a partner and the subjects are drawn from a list of suggested middle school topics such as beehives, genetic engineering, vaccinations, search engines, inventors and more. We all continue to learn individually and from each other! #loveservecareforpeople š¾šāļø
