🎓 Did You Know?

One of the smartest ways Morrilton High School students can prepare for their future is by earning concurrent college credit at no cost while still in high school—and it can save families thousands of dollars.

In the Class of 2026:
🎓 11 students graduated with an associate's degree from the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) before receiving their high school diploma.

Because of the University of Arkansas System 2+2 Agreement, students who complete an associate's degree at UACCM can transfer to the University of Arkansas or another four-year university within the UA System and continue paying the same affordable tuition rate they paid at UACCM.

In addition, every hour of concurrent credit earned through Morrilton High School is one less college class families have to pay for after graduation. That means students can enter college with a significant head start while reducing the overall cost of earning a bachelor's degree.

At South Conway County School District, we're committed to providing opportunities that help our students succeed in college, careers, and life.

FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR" (¡Inscripción ya abierta! An official enrollment announcement graphic from the South Conway County School District features a dark maroon and black background. On the upper left, a large, aggressive illustration of a grey "Devil Dog" bulldog mascot is depicted with sharp teeth, red eyes, and a spiked white collar. To its right, bold white text reads "ENROLLMENT NOW OPEN! FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR," followed by a banner that states "FOR ALL RETURNING STUDENTS." Below the mascot, a short paragraph prompts parents to update their information for a smooth start to the upcoming school year. To the right of this text, a section outlines action steps, including a laptop icon next to the instruction "COMPLETE ENROLLMENT ONLINE TODAY!", a web registration URL inside a clickable pill-shaped button, and a phone icon advising families to contact their child's campus or the District Office for additional information. Running across the lower middle is a row of five icons and text representing the district's core pillars: strong academics, caring teachers and staff, safe and supportive schools, varied opportunities in arts and athletics, and a focus on helping every child succeed. The bottom of the graphic displays the official school district circular crest alongside the text "SOUTH CONWAY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT | LOVE. SERVE. CARE. 4 People," concluded on the bottom right with the bold red proclamation, "WE ARE DEVIL DOGS!"

Welcome Mrs. Nutt
The sixth grade MIS GT class recently completed the “Picture America” project with an assembly of all sixth graders and guests from the Arkansas Department of Education, UCA, America250 Commission, Green Bay Packaging and others. The students took a field trip in February to area post offices to view murals that were painted in the 1930s-1940s to learn about the history of the postal service and the art depicting the regions. The school news team, MIS Pup News Network, recorded videos on the trip and conducted interviews. Mrs. Clair Pruitt, GT teacher and PNN facilitator, used the students’ videos and recorded interviews along with other shared photos and video to create a short movie of the “Picture America”project shown during the assembly. Mr. Blake Reeves, art teacher, coordinated the MIS student activities, the assembly and instructed students’ on their art work. The project culminated with a trip to the Morrilton City Hall for the unveiling of the students’ stamp designs displayed around the newly painted mural by artist Robby Burton. This was a memorable project  and valuable learning experience for all involved. #loveservecare4people
