Tomorrow is a special day for our South Conway County School District family.

After a week of Spring Break, our staff is truly excited to welcome your children back. Our buildings just aren’t the same without them—the laughter, the energy, the joy they bring each day is what makes our schools come alive.

We hope your family had a restful and meaningful break, filled with moments that matter. Please know this… your children are deeply valued here. They are known, they are cared for, and they are loved by people who are committed to helping them grow, learn, and succeed.

We are ready to greet them with smiles, encouragement, and open hearts as we begin these final weeks of the school year together.

The South Conway County School District will be on Spring Break from Monday, March 23rd, through Friday, March 27th.

Students will return to school on Monday, March 30th.

⚛️Mrs Franklin's 6th grade students represented a carbon atom and moved around the room going through the carbon cycle depending on what the roll of the dice told them would happen to their atom. Our students enjoyed this fun activity! #loveservecare4people🥰

Mrs. Marshall’s class explored how sense of touch can help people communicate!   Students created messages in braille using beads to investigate how individuals who are blind or visually impaired read and share information through touch. As students worked, they talked about how humans are incredibly creative problem-solvers and how people have adapted in amazing ways to overcome challenges in communication.   It was a great hands-on activity that helped students better understand the connection between senses, empathy for others, and the innovative ways people connect with the world around them. #loveservecareforpeople 🐾❤️

Today, the SCCSD is proud to recognize the March Devil Dog Award recipients in the South Conway County School District!

The Devil Dog Award is a special honor given to team members who truly represent the spirit of a Devil Dog. Nominated by their peers, these individuals are recognized for their kindness, dedication to serving others, strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and willingness to support and uplift those around them. They consistently go above and beyond in their roles and embody the values that make our learning community special.

South Conway County School District was honored to recently host the Class 4A State Basketball Tournament at Devil Dog Arena. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every worker and volunteer who gave their time and energy to make this tournament an outstanding experience for teams, fans, and families from across Arkansas.

Because of you, visitors experienced the excellence, kindness, and hospitality that define our school district and our community. Throughout the tournament, we received many compliments on Devil Dog Arena and the cleanliness, hospitality, and organization of the event, which reflects the pride our people take in serving others well.

Since 2018, Devil Dog Arena has hosted five state tournaments, including:
• Two 1A State Basketball Tournaments in partnership with the Wonderview School District
• Two 4A State Basketball Tournaments
• One 4A State Volleyball Tournament

In addition, Devil Dog Arena has hosted three regional tournaments:
• Two 4A Regional Basketball Tournaments
• One Regional Volleyball Tournament

And the excitement will continue as Devil Dog Arena is scheduled to host the 4A State Volleyball Tournament in the Fall of 2026.

Devil Dog Arena is truly one of the premier venues in Arkansas for hosting events like these. But what makes it special is not just the facility — it is the people who step forward to serve, welcome, and support others.
